    Worst Pokemon Move

Post by Zentri on Wed Jul 08, 2009 5:06 pm

What move do you think is useless in the pokemon world? Could it be Harden, or can it be Splash. I think it is splash.

Splash is definitely the worst Pokemon move. It once had people thinking that, Magikarp, a user of Splash was the worst Pokemon created. However, when people realized that it evolved into Gyarados, no one cared how useless Magikarp seemed to be. But, lets stay on topic.

Razor Wind is a good move in my opinion... Perhaps, I should explain it more so that you get it.

Razor Wind does nothing on the turn it is selected, other than state that the user created a whirlwind. On the following turn, Razor Wind inflicts damage, PP is deducted, and it will count as the last move used. Once Razor Wind is selected, the user will be unable to switch out until Razor Wind has been disrupted or fully executed.

If Razor Wind is not fully executed, PP will not be deducted, and it will not count as the last move used.

Not to mention, Razor Wind has an increased critical hit ratio.

Now, does that sound like "Worst Pokemon Move" material?

Maybe you should blame your Pokemon then? ;P

Bind, isn't the worst move, but it doesn't do much. In the games it isn't worth it, but in the anime it can do some good things for you. However, this isn't about the anime.

With that said, I'll explain what Bind does from the first generation to the fourth generation.

    Generation I

Bind does damage for 2-5 turns. There is a 37.5% chance that it will attack for 2 turns, a 37.5% chance that it will attack for 3 turns, a 12.5% chance that it will attack for 4 turns, and a 12.5% chance that it will attack for 5 turns. Though technically only the first attack can critical hit, every attack during the duration will do the same amount of damage. During this turn duration, the target will be unable to attack, and if the user of Bind attacks before the target when used, the target will be unable to attack during that round as well.

Damage done by Bind's continuing duration is done after recurrent damage. If the user switches out before the turn duration ends, the target will be unable to attack during that turn, since it did not get to select a move. If the target switches out before the turn duration ends, Bind will automatically be used against the incoming Pokémon, deducting an additional PP from the move. If at such a time Bind has 0 PP, Bind will still be used against the incoming Pokémon. After that use, the current PP of Bind will roll over to 63, and full PP ups will be applied to it.

Even if Bind misses, it will negate the recharge turn normally required for Hyper Beam. Additionally, if the user of Bind attacks before the user of Hyper Beam during a recharge turn and the use of Bind misses, the user of Hyper Beam will automatically use Hyper Beam during that turn. If at such a time Hyper Beam has 0 PP, Hyper Beam will still be used, and afterwards its current PP will roll over to 63, and full PP ups will be applied to it.

The target will get to select a move during each turn of Bind's duration, and will attack the player's incoming Pokémon with the selected move if the player decides to switch before the duration is over.

In Pokémon Stadium, the player gets to select a move during each turn of Bind's duration. If the target switches out before the duration ends, the incoming Pokémon will not automatically be attacked. Bind will negate the recharge turn of Hyper Beam only if successful.

    Generation II & III

Bind does damage for 2-5 turns. Unlike the first generation, both user and target will be able to attack during the attack's duration. The damage dealt by Bind will apply to the target at the end of every turn. While the target is binded, it cannot be recalled. If the target uses the move Rapid Spin while wrapped, it will be freed from Bind.

    Generation IV

If the user of Bind is holding a Grip Claw, the duration of Bind is always 5 turns.

Worst Pokemon move battle-wise? If not, I can't think of anything.

If so, then my vote would have to go to Roar and Teleport.

Well basically Roar isnt that bad because if your Pokemon are
about to faint then you can send them away!!

    But teleport is 100% useless!!

It is probably useless for people who never usually have problems in battles. I haven't...
